Itβs super important that all Juniors and any Seniors who still need to take the test are there. The ACT is a graduation requirement, so letβs make sure theyβre ready!
π Make sure students are well-rested and arrive on time.
π Students should know their assigned testing room posted outside of the counseling office.
π‘ Encourage students to check out the ACT Practice Tests to get familiar with the format. It might be a little late to cram, but understanding what to expect can help build confidence on test day!
π Senior Day at Woodruff: Seniors not taking the ACT should report to Woodruff at 8:30 am for Senior Day activities. The event will include workshops, community service opportunities, and visits from local organizations. Need a ride? No problem! Woodruff buses will be running from Peoria High that morning.

7 Mindsets Focus of the Week
This week, Peoria High is focusing on the mindset: "Receive Gracefully."
This lesson teaches students how to accept help, support, or recognition with humility and gratitude. Itβs about recognizing that itβs okay to receive and that showing appreciation strengthens relationships.
How You Can Support at Home:
π¬ Talk about gratitude: Ask your student about a time when they received help and how they felt afterward. Discuss how they showed appreciation.
π€ Model graceful receiving: Share a story of when someone helped and how gratitude was shown.
π Encourage recognition: Praise your student when they accept help with a positive attitude, reinforcing the importance of receiving gracefully.
Onward. Forward. πΎ
