A teacher noticed a parent facing challenges while getting their child to school, sparking concern. School Resource Officer Nathan Bell took a compassionate approach, learning the family’s story and connecting them with resources. Her thoughtful actions offered hope and a path to stability, showing the power of kindness in a school community.

Former Richwoods IB students and 2025 graduates Theresa Bartleme and Jah Mubalama credit the program with shaping their futures. Bartleme pursued diplomacy, while Mubalama is at Yale for neuroscience. IB’s focus on critical thinking, collaboration, and global perspectives prepared them for college and beyond.

We want to thank the Caterpillar employees, many of them Manual High alumni, and Mr. Rice’s students for transforming the Manual High courtyard! Over fall break, they:

• Laid a new rubber playground surface
• Cleared weeds and refreshed flowerbeds
• Built a new picnic table

Peoria Public Schools is excited to announce that it will host its first district-wide Amazing Shake competition at Woodruff Career and Technical Center, December 9–11. Created by the Ron Clark Academy, this dynamic event helps students build confidence, communication, and professionalism through fast-paced, real-world challenges.

Over 50 staff members are Bradley Alumni. Jeff Wanko, Dean of the College of Education and Quinn Wherfel, Education Department Chair paid visits to several of them to wish them well in their careers and drop off Bradley swag to thank them for their recent participation in an alumni survey. 

The Franklin Primary Sewing Club, led by Diane Lewis of Bradley University, empowers students with lifelong clothing repair skills, promoting sustainability and supporting the school’s clothing closet.
