Richwoods IB Program Information for Current 8th Grade Students:

Parents and 8th grade students! 

Richwoods High School is accepting applications to the IB program for 8th grade students.  Anyone who is interested can visit the IB website at richwoodsib.org for more detailed information regarding the application process and the IB program itself.  Acceptance criteria are based on NWEA scores (80th percentile or higher), grades, and teacher recommendations.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the IB Coordinator anytime at thomas.hayes@psd150.org.  A couple of important dates to remember:

September 30, 2026: Parent informational meeting, 6pm, RHS Auditorium

November 2, 2026: Deadline for completed applications, 4pm

November 18 & 19, 2026: IB interviews, 4-8pm, RHS Library

December 1, 2026: Acceptance letters sent to parents

Great STEM Opportunity for our Students at Bradley

 

MATH COUNTS OPPORTUNITY:

Does your child love math or want to get better at it? If so, Math Counts is for you! Math Counts will be held on Monday's after school with Mrs. Dismang. Students will need their own transportation home after Math Counts. If you have questions please contact Mrs. Dismang at karen.dismang@psd150.org 

 

Speech & Debate Practice every Tuesday's 2:30-4:00 See Mrs. Lane to sign up. You MUST have your own transportation after practices.

OSF On Call Coming onsite to Sterling October 5th:

OSF On Call is coming to Sterling October 5th for school physicals. Please email lynn.lane@psd150.org if you want to sign up and I will connect you with them so they get all of the necessary information. This will be available from 10:00-3:00, with time slots available every 20 min.

Once they receive the a sign-up, they will add the students to their schedule and reach out to families to gather any necessary pre-registration information. They are happy to accept walk in's as the schedule allows. 

If a student has a MyChart account, they can complete the pre-registration process through MyChart once they have been added to the schedule. They will receive a notification when the appointment is scheduled. For students who do not have MyChart, the OSF team will contact them directly to complete the pre-registration process.

Bradley University is offering America Reads

America Reads is a free tutoring program at Bradley University. We pair kids grades K-8 with an undergrad student to help them with reading comprehension, math, and general homework. Our program starts back up again on September 14th and runs until December 3rd.
